ABOUT IN-HOME SUPPORT
In-Home Support Services focus on providing care that protects a person’s health and safety and prevents out-of-home placement. Services are provided in the home and in the community.
- We provide companionship, socialized goal setting, which helps reduce family stress.
- We do this by providing training to encourage independence and living skills, train clients on prescribed exercises and therapies, and work with clients to make healthy food, nutrition, and diet choices.
- Opportunities are made to educate and assist clients in grooming and hygiene.
- As appropriate for age and ability, training can focus on performing household tasks
All of this is part of an Individual Support Plan, which is based on a required Risk Management Evaluation.
Funding for In-home Support comes through Waivered Services from a county.
