Clinic Assistant

Position type: $18 to $20 an hour/ 40 hours per week FT

Benefits: ACTG offers employer subsidized Medical, employer paid Life and AD&D, in addition to other benefits including PTO, Holiday Pay, Dental, and Vision to employees who work 30 or more hours per week. 

Location: ACTG is located in a beautiful neighborhood in Northeast Minneapolis close to public transit and freeways, downtown, retail, restaurants, and walking trails. 

Description of responsibilities: 

• 40%: Using an Electronic Medical Record system (EMR) to manage clients’ charts, verifying insurance, communicate with health clinics, and enter appointments. Collaboration with intake, paraoptometric, and billing specialists for client communication and record keeping
• 40%:  Interacting with clinicians, parents, adult clients, and schools through phone, voicemail, text, and email
• 10%: Creating monthly reports, gathering data, invoicing
• 10%: Welcoming visitors at the front desk, performing miscellaneous duties, cross training with similar positions, occasional light duty cleaning and organization of clinic rooms

Qualification/Skills:

• Good at creating organizational systems
• Must be flexible and creative
• Collaborative approach, assisting in connecting services for clients, and inter-departmentally
• Proficient in Google docs, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
• Able to learn and use Raintree EMR system
• Assisting parents in understanding the services available
