S.M.A.R.T. Refresher

This interactive and engaging one-day refresher workshop is designed for educators and professionals who have previously completed a S.M.A.R.T. Workshop and are ready to revisit, refine, and strengthen their implementation. Led by experienced S.M.A.R.T. instructors who are current and former educators, this refresher focuses on reconnecting participants with the core principles of the S.M.A.R.T. multi-sensory approach to teaching and learning. Participants will review key developmental concepts and explore efficient, intentional strategies for supporting students, and make materials to support their program.
The day emphasizes practical application, problem-solving, and updates to best practices, allowing participants to deepen their understanding, ask implementation questions, and leave with renewed confidence and clarity for using S.M.A.R.T. strategies in their current settings.

This workshop is from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm and provides 6 contact hours. Participants should bring their S.M.A.R.T. Curriculum Guide or S.M.A.R.T. PreK CORE and S.M.A.R.T. PreK MORE Guides that they received at their initial S.M.A.R.T. workshop.

BY ATTENDING This one Day refresher S.M.A.R.T. WORKSHOP, YOU WILL:

  • Reinforce the multi-sensory S.M.A.R.T. approach to teaching and incorporation of brain-based movement activities that support learning readiness and student engagement

  • Refresh key developmental concepts, including how to observe and support children’s development

  • Reconnect to practical implementation tools, leave with ready-to-use strategies and confidence to integrate activities into daily routines

At a 3-Day S.M.A.R.T. WORKSHOP, YOU WILL:

  • Learn how the brain typically develops and what might interrupt that development 
  • Experience movement-based S.M.A.R.T. activities, which are fun for students and easily incorporated into the day 
  • Understand how to look at students developmentally 
  • Create the materials you need to implement S.M.A.R.T. 
  • Become re-energized as educators and ready to create your own S.M.A.R.T. classrooms! ​​​​

Workshop Details

  • This S.M.A.R.T. Refresher provides 6 contact hours
  • Standard Rate: $250
  • Early-Bird Rate: $225 (deadline is two weeks prior to the Monday before the Workshop)​​

Unless otherwise specified, all Minneapolis workshops are held at A Chance To Grow. Dates and locations are announced and updated regularly. Space is limited and participation is granted in order of registration receipt and payment.
