MLRC at A Chance To Grow
This interactive and energetic workshop is designed for elementary classroom, special education, physical education, and adaptive physical education teachers, along with occupational therapists, paraprofessionals and anyone working with children. The instructors are all former and current educators and professionals with vast experience and knowledge in how to implement the program in any setting!
S.M.A.R.T. is a multi-sensory approach to teaching and learning that is designed to develop and enhance the critical readiness skills students need to succeed in school. The S.M.A.R.T. Workshop helps participants understand how to look at children developmentally and apply activities for developing and/or enhancing students’ large and fine muscle skills, visual perception and eye-hand coordination, and auditory skills, all necessary tools for learning to read and achieving academic success. All S.M.A.R.T. Workshops are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and provide 24 contact hours.
Standard Rate: $585
Early-Bird Rate: $560
The deadline for the Early-Bird Rate is two weeks prior to the Monday before the workshop.

Workshop Update: February 2022
The safety of our participants, presenters, and community are our top priority. While we continue to assess what our options may be for the summer, we will follow all recommendations and guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Health. We realize educators and school districts need to plan so are announcing our current dates for summer workshops. In doing so, we have implemented a new registration policy.
