Audio-Visual Entrainment (AVE) |
|
Reduce Stress and Boost Focus!
Audio-Visual Entrainment (AVE) is a noninvasive, drug-free therapy that utilizes pulsating lights and rhythmic beats or tones at pre-programmed frequencies to entrain (guide) the brain into a meditative state. This process increases blood flow to the brain and metabolizes glucose to improve the communication between neurons. Consistent use of the AVE system trains the brainwaves to respond appropriately in situational circumstances, often helping an individual to focus, sleep and improve his or her mood. A 15-30 minute session calms the Central Nervous System (CNS), promoting a meditative and focused optimal brain state.

If you or your child struggles with emotional instability, a lack of focus or motivation, or other problems that interfere with learning, social interactions and relationships, Audio-Visual Entrainment may be the perfect wellness therapy for you.
Benefits of Audio-Visual Entrainment:
|
Experience Peak Performance!
If you or your child has trouble concentrating, you can choose a program designed to wake up and focus the brain. During a deep and relaxing AVE session, instead of using music, one can patch in spelling words, math facts, or lecture notes and let the information seep into the subconscious mind. If you or your child is feeling anxious about an exam or lecture, visualizing successful test taking strategies during AVE is often a useful exercise. AVE has been recognized in many school districts as a useful tool for academic enhancement, especially for students with learning challenges, like ADHD. |

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you use the AVE System?
The AVE system is designed for use at home. It’s a safe, holistic and noninvasive program that can be used by all family members. The system uses light and sound frequencies to stimulate optimal frequencies for brain performance. Offering 25 programs, AVE can help improve mood, energize the brain or promote a focused, sleepy, meditative or relaxed brain state.
Sessions typically are done at home in a quiet environment. Often individuals lie in a comfortable position with eyes closed, wearing an eye set and headphone that are attached to the AVE unit. Each program consists of very specific light and sound frequencies that stimulate the users brainwaves. Sessions last between 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the program chosen. |
AVE is a relaxing and fun program that can make a significant difference in the quality of your life. You can even customize your experience with music, pod casts or audio books. Taking a nap during a session is also an option! The best part of this program is that you determine your schedule, doing AVE in the convenience of your own home.
risks to using the AVE system?
The AVE system involves pulsing lights to the eyes that can evoke seizures in people who are classified as "photo epileptic" and can cause photo-induced seizures. On the other hand, AVE with blue-tinted lights has been used to address some seizure disorders and has either remediated or diminished the severity of the disorder. In either case, however, persons who have a history of epilepsy or brain seizures should not experience AVE without first consulting a medical professional.
What to expect during an AVE session?
During an AVE session, you will want a calm and quiet place away from distractions. Most people enjoy lying down and closing their eyes and sleeping or resting while doing an AVE session. Drinking a glass of water 15 minutes before a session and having a comfy blanket and/or stuffed animal is often helpful. We also recommend customizing your session with additional audio of your choice such as music, a podcast or audio book.
When a session is complete, it’s not uncommon for both children and adults to feel different. Common comments after a session include people saying that they feel more relaxed, alert, energized and calm.
Some individuals do not like to have their eyes closed, or if they’re doing a brain boost program, find it more comfortable to sit up. The beauty of AVE is that we can help you customize programs to fit your needs. Options are available such as eye sets with holes in them and ear buds instead of a headset. We will create a customized program for you in our initial consult, answering all your questions before you bring your AVE system home.

What our clients say about our services
“Our son, age 14, diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy two years ago, has been a slow learner and mentally impaired for years. He has used the AVE machine for approximately five weeks. Right away, my husband and I noticed more alertness in Danny, especially in completing tasks and being more organized. I was skeptical, as nothing else has ever worked. It’s hard to put a finger on what is different, but we know for sure it is a change for the better.” – Elizabeth, mother Has Audio-Visual Entrainment worked for you? Share your story!
