The Neuro Integrative Clinic

Brain + Body
Connections

The Neuro Integrative Clinic's approach combines several interventions that collectively promote brain growth and social, physical and emotional development through purposeful movement. The goal of this intervention is to establish efficient neurological connections between the brain and the system's of the body, ultimately improving an individual's higher-level functioning.
Beneficial for all ages
Compared to many insurance-based therapies or pre-packaged services, each Neuro Integrative session is adaptable specifically to the individual's priorities or concerns. By incorporating elements of the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration, developmental movement, occupational therapy and sensory processing therapies (auditory, vision, vestibular and tactile), we are able to create an individualized program that addresses a person's foundational physiological well being. Additionally, our therapists collaborate with one another, offering co-treatment sessions to increase the impact of the therapy.

Frequently
asked questions

What's the difference between Occupational Therapy and the Neuro Integrative Approach?
The Neuro Integrative approach is intended for children who are performing outside the scope of typical insurance-based programs, like occupational therapy. They may be performing at a level "too high" according to insurance qualifying standardized testing or they have made limited gains with traditional insurance-based interventions.

The unique structure of the program allows more flexibility for the services. Many caregivers choose to be an active participant in the intervention. Through their partnership with the therapist, the caregiver will gain many of the tools they need to provide consistent treatment for their child to reach faster, more stable results.
Frequency of Treatment?
Frequency is essential to progress, but this is dependent on the needs and the availability of the client. A typical treatment plan is one 60-minute session weekly with home programming.
What Should I Expect when Starting treatment?
After an assessment, the therapist and family will meet to discuss client needs and proposed program. Together, we work to figure out the right pathway to get to the client's goal. Frequency is essential to progress. While our therapists work directly with the child, they will also guide the caregiver through fundamental activities so they may gain the necessary skills to provide consistent treatment to reach faster, more stable results for their child.

Home exercises are a requirement for all Neuro Integrative Clinic clients.

These exercises are expected to be done 4-7 times per week (approximately 30 minutes per day) with frequency, intensity and duration of program determined by the therapist. Through this partnership, our program allows more flexibility for services since the parent is an active participant in the intervention.
