TURNQUIST CHILD ENRICHMENT CENTER

Bridging the
achievement gap

Turnquist Child Enrichment Center is an NAEYC accredited, Hennepin County Strong Beginnings site, and 4-star Parent Aware certified daycare center for children ages six-weeks-old to Kindergarten age. Our dedicated staff provide a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of each child.

Our philosophy is to encourage children to be actively involved in the learning process. Classroom opportunities allow each child to experience a variety of developmentally appropriate activities while pursuing their own interests to help them meet their maximum potential. Teachers communicate closely with parents to learn the best ways in which to meet the child's individual needs.

Our
curriculum emphasizes school readiness skills, including language development and early literacy skills, gross and fine motor development, social and emotional development, exposure to technology and cultural diversity.
We strive to enrich the lives of children through:
  • Math, writing, technology, science, art and music centers
  • Library, gym, computer and outside time
  • Individualized education plans and developmental testing
  • DNR designated "Smallest School Forest"
  • S.M.A.R.T. Pre-K school readiness program
  • Annual field trips to museums, the zoo, pumpkin patch and more!
  • On-site services including OT, Speech Therapy, Hearing and Vision Clinics, Neurotechnology

Additionally, A Chance To Grow and the Turnquist Child Enrichment Center provide door-to-door transportation and childcare services to teen parents throughout the year to ensure they stay in school and graduate. By collaborating with the Minnesota Visiting Nurses Agency, ACTG’s Teen Parent Program has resulted in 100% of teenage mothers served by our services earning their GED or high school diploma 3 years in a row.

To learn more about Turnquist Child Enrichment Center, to inquire about enrolling your child in the program, or to schedule a tour of our facility, please contact us by calling (612) 706-5590 or email [email protected].

What our parents say
"Turnquist has helped me improve my life by allowing me to go back to school, graduate, get a good internship opportunity, and help me do what I need to while knowing my children are being taken care of. The Teen Parent Program provides comfort to my kids and me. It's their second home where they know they're safe and loved." - Teen parent
