Employment Benefits
A Chance To Grow has established staff benefit programs for all regular, full-time staff members and their eligible dependents unless otherwise specified below. Temporary/seasonal staff are not eligible to participate in staff benefit program. ACTG reserves the right to amend or terminate these programs at its discretion.
Benefits include:
Medical Insurance
Regular full-time staff working at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in ACTG medical insurance the first of the month following 30 days of employment. ACTG pays 50% of premiums for staff, spouse, and dependent coverage for all ACTG staff. Personal Care Attendants (PCA’s) are not eligible for medical benefits.
Health Savings Account (HSA)
Regular full-time staff working at least 30 hours per week and who qualify for and elect to enroll in the high deductible medical plan through ACTG are eligible to enroll in the health savings account plan to pay for eligible medical expenses on a pre-tax basis. Staff will be informed of the amount they may contribute at the start of the plan year. Staff may roll over 100% of unused balances from one plan year to the next. PCA’s are not eligible to participate in the HSA.
Dental Insurance
Regular full-time staff working at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in ACTG dental insurance the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Eligible staff are responsible for 100% of staff and dependent premiums. PCA’s are not eligible for dental insurance.
Limited Flexible Spending Account
Regular full-time staff and PCA’s working at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in ACTG flexible spending account for qualified medical and dependent care expenses. If eligible expenses are less than the amount contributed to the flexible spending account that amount will be forfeited at the end of the year. Group Basic Life and AD&D
Regular full-time staff working at least 30 hours per week are automatically enrolled in the ACTG group life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage the first day of the month following completion of 30 days of employment. The benefit amount is $50,000 and is staff only coverage. PCA’s are not eligible to participate in group life and AD&D coverage.
Supplemental Life
Regular full-time staff working at least 30 hours per week are eligible to enroll in supplemental life and AD&D for themselves and their dependents the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Premiums are paid 100% by staff and rates can be obtained from the Benefits Administrator. PCA’s are not eligible to participate in the supplemental life and AD&D benefit.
Long Term Disability
Regular full-time staff working at least 30 hours per week are automatically enrolled in the ACTG long-term disability insurance the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. Eligible staff that qualify for long term disability will receive up to 60% of their pay for a maximum monthly benefit of $6,000 following a 90-day elimination period of eligibility. PCA’s are not eligible for long-term disability.
Wellness Benefits
Regular full-time staff working at least 30 hours per week that enroll in medical benefits are eligible for certain wellness programs including:

Voluntary Benefits
ACTG staff may elect short-term disability, cancer insurance and accident insurance coverage through our outside vendor. These are voluntary programs and staff are responsible for 100% of premiums. Interested staff should contact the Benefits Administrative Assistant for more information.
