This tool is used as a visual efficiency activity. It enhances saccadic eye movements (quick, simultaneous movements of both eyes in the same direction), eye teaming and near-point acuity skills. It is a wooden arc the child holds with one hand and positions in front of his or her chin. While moving the peg from spot to spot with the free hand, the child’s eyes must follow along.
