Stillness is the highest form of movement because it is the absence of movement. So how do we teach children the difference? We give them many, many, many opportunities to experience feeling the contrast between moving and being still. Helicopter Spins are one way to teach the difference.

It’s the time of year when everyone has cabin fever and needs to MOVE! Alligator Crawl races are an entertaining way to get in that movement! They’re also a lot of work and help the students who have lots of wiggles! Are you brave enough to join the races?

Robin from Eau Claire has been adding Cross Pattern movement breaks during her distance learning sessions. She shared that she turns on the music and they follow her dance moves! Robin knows that students need to move in order to attend when she is teaching.
