Looking for activities that can keep your child busy and engaged during winter break? 

How about encouraging a screen free zone that can foster creativity, imagination, and play?!

• Indoor Obstacle Course: ​Design a simple indoor obstacle course using household items such as chairs, couch cushions, and hula hoops. Children can crawl under tables, hop over cushions, and navigate through small spaces. Encouraging children to design the course fosters creativity and imagination.
• Dance Party!: Crank up the music and dance away. Dancing is a fantastic way to stay active, express yourself, and have fun. Encourage your child to use movements that cross the midline of the body. Perhaps you can even teach them a few of your favorite dance moves! Disco anyone?
• Scavenger Hunt: Create a winter-themed scavenger hunt around the house. Give children a list of items to find or clues to solve, leading them to different locations. This not only gets them moving but also adds an element of excitement and discovery to their day.
• Balloon Volleyball: Blow up a balloon and use it for an indoor volleyball game. Create a net using a string or low piece of tape. Children can hit the balloon back and forth, improving eye-hand coordination and getting some physical exercise.
